Wine and Chocolate Weekend in Lake Erie Wine Country
Your sweetheart will LOVE you for this one! Tour Lake Erie Wine Country, sampling local wine, savory food and sweet chocolate pairings along the way. Tickets for Wine and Chocolate Weekend must be purchased in advance and are good for any one day, February 15-17, 2019. All 23 wineries are participating in this annual event sponsored by Niagara Chocolates, 6 of which are designated hosts. Select which host winery you and your love want to start your tour at. Fire & Ice Celebration at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel
The Fire & Ice Celebration at the new Chautauqua Harbor Hotel brings needed merriment to winter’s longest stretch. The event, held both February 15th and 16th, is a signature party hosted by the Harbor Hotel group. Fire & Ice promises thrills and chills as the magnificent grounds of this brand new lakeside hotel are transformed by over 20,000 lbs. of ice. Party-goers will enjoy meticulously carved ice sculptures, martini luges, and fully-stocked bars punctuated by roaring fire pits. Inside, the fun continues with great music, cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres featuring chili and chowder. The evening ends with a blaze of color as fireworks streak across the sky over Chautauqua Lake. Proceeds from the event benefit the Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County.

Mayville Presidents’ Day Weekend Winter Festival
A long-time family favorite, the Presidents’ Day Weekend Winter Festival returns to the Village of Mayville February 15-17, 2019. Highlights include horse-drawn wagon rides, a snowball distance throwing contest, children’s snowman/snow animal building contest, Lego™ contest, snowmobile rides, kids craft-making, vendors and more. Weather conditions currently lend themselves to an Ice Castle. Construction is scheduled to begin on February 4, 2019. Guests will enjoy the traditional Saturday-evening fireworks, flare parade and bonfire. The festivities all take place at Mayville Lakeside Park, located adjacent to Chautauqua Lake.
